Raise.me is a new site where students are awarded scholarship money from colleges each time they demonstrate success in high school. Goals such as receiving an A or a B in a class, participating in a school club, or spending a few hours volunteering in your community could earn a young person money for college. Raise.me is entirely free. The cost of the program is paid by colleges and charitable foundations such as the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, and Facebook’s charitable giving. Our team recently produced a no-cost, non-commercial, scholarship and
financial aid guide for students seeking out degrees in Public Health and other Healthcare specialties. We found that it can be difficult for these students to locate specific consolidated resources for scholarships and financial aid that are specific to their major/concentration. Our guide provides unique value by helping students identify health related scholarship opportunities across several health categories by a variety of sources in one easy to use page. We are working diligently on our mission is to get these free public resources into the hands of future and current students. Do you think you could help by listing our resource on one of your scholarship pages, so students will have easy access to the information? Here is a link to our resource guide: -Scholarship guide: http://www.publichealthonline.org/scholarships-and-grants/ -Homepage: http://www.publichealthonline.org/ |

Better Business Bureau (BBB) Foundation serving Nebraska, South Dakota, The Kansas Plains and Southwest Iowa is notifying you that it is accepting applications from high school seniors for the 2015 Scott Mecham BBB Student of Integrity Awards. Eight students will each be granted $2,000 college scholarships: two from South Dakota, two from The Kansas Plains area, two from metro Omaha and southwest Iowa, and two from metro Lincoln and greater Nebraska.
These scholarships are not based on ethnicity, need or grade point average, but recognize students of integrity who represent BBB values. They are awarded to students who exemplify ethical behavior and personal integrity and who demonstrate humility, courage, compassion and respect for their peers, teachers and community. Please share this information with students who you know would be candidates for these special awards. Aside from the obvious benefit to the students, this is also a wonderful opportunity for your institution to be publicly recognized. Scholarship winners will be announced in April and congratulated in releases to television, radio and print media. They will also be recognized at the BBB’s Integrity Award Events in August. The application guide with full details and required forms can be downloaded at http://bbb.org/h/mqf. For more information, please contact BBB Communications Director Margo Riekes at 402-898-8526, 800-649-6814 #8526 or [email protected]. The BBB and its Foundation looks forward to rewarding two well-deserving students from metro Omaha and southwest Iowa for upholding high ethical standards.
